Job Type: Part-Time / Flexible Hours

About Us: At Fols Kids, our mission is to enhance the lives of special needs children and provide unwavering support to their families. We are dedicated to creating a nurturing environment where children with special needs can thrive, and their families receive the assistance they need. We are currently seeking a compassionate and skilled Specialised Babysitter to join our team and support our families.

Job Overview: As a Specialised Babysitter, you will provide personal care assistance and support to children with special educational needs (SEN) within their homes. Your role will involve offering a safe, engaging, and caring environment tailored to each child's specific needs. This position requires flexibility, as the timing of the job may vary depending on the families' needs, with a likelihood of evening shifts. You will have the opportunity to indicate your availability, allowing us to match you with families that suit your schedule.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Personal Care Assistance: Provide direct care and support to children with SEN, including help with daily routines, personal hygiene, and any specific care needs as outlined by the family.

  • Engagement and Interaction: Create a safe and stimulating environment for the children, incorporating activities that promote their development and enjoyment.

  • Flexible Scheduling: Adapt to varying schedules as needed by the families, with a primary focus on evening shifts. Communicate your availability so we can match you with suitable families.

  • Support for Families: Work closely with families to understand their specific needs and preferences, offering assistance that aligns with their requirements and routines.

Requirements:

  • Patience and Empathy: Demonstrated patience, empathy, and a positive attitude when working with children with special needs.

  • Previous Experience: Experience in providing care for children with SEN or similar roles is preferred but not essential. We offer training to help you succeed in this role.

  • Training: While we provide training, having a natural inclination to support and engage with special needs children is crucial.

  • Availability: Ability to work flexible hours, predominantly in the evenings, with the option to specify your availability.

  • Background Check: Enhanced DBS check required (we can assist in obtaining this if needed).

Why Join Us? This role offers a meaningful opportunity to make a positive difference in the lives of special needs children and their families. By joining our team, you will become part of an organisation dedicated to providing exceptional support and creating a positive impact in the community.
